As many of you may or may not know, I grew up on the country side in Värmland. Unfortunately I don't visit very often, but every now and then I find myself in the neighborhood. I thought this time it might be fun to try out having a painting workshop surrounded by nature - which after all is my biggest source of inspiration!
So last Saturday I had a wonderful group painting with me in Gunnarskog! The weather in Sweden has had quite some mood swings recently, but decided to give us full on happy sunshine during the entire day! Which gave us the wonderful opportunity to paint outdoors. I always really enjoy a group of new people coming together in environments like this. Another thing that brings me so much joy with a group of beginner painters is that they never seem to fail me with their creative ideas and processes! It's just as inspiring for me as I hope it is for them to participate in a course!
Now here, some pictures from the workshop for all of you to enjoy!
Here at the last image are some of the paintings set up for display after the workshop. Something tells me it was the day of the butterfly! And yet that was not something that was decided beforehand. Could it perhaps be, that apart from nature, the table cloth was the big inspiration here?
