I got asked by Sensus in Örebro to hang a little pop-up exhibitions at Föreningarnas hus in combination with the 100 anniversary party for popular adult education in the city. I've been having some collabs with them in different forms before so I'm excited to keep working with them! I picked out some of my smaller pieces and created a little wall of "Hav och rike"! It will be hanging for a short period of time in their office building.

"Till Utopia" at Galleri 12, Katrineholm
- Details
- Published:
After participating in the Decembersalong in Katrineholm I got in touch with the owner of a cozy gallery called Galleri 12. A couple of months later I was exhibiting my work there!
The overal theme for this exhibition was Utopia, that's also why the title came to be "Till Utopia" (To Utopia). It's up to you if it is meant as a goal or as a starter point. While the past is already definite, the future - which is quite soon - is still moldable. A historical dream is today's reality. Dreams beyond the limit of reasonableness is suddenly reachable and it is no longer about "if", but about "when".
Or maybe, a historical reality is today's dream? Maybe Lucy was already living in a Utopia about 3.2 million years ago. Or maybe, the humanoid Sophia, just stepped into hers in 2017. Perhaps it is possible that eventually, we will live in interplay with our environment, where man is free and nature is left alone. Maybe when supernatural creatures, whom us intruders safeguard in the best case but get rid of in the worst, eventually can save us from downfall. A dream to experience something of the distant that we have yet not seen, or missed seeing with the naked eye. My Utopia might not be your Utopia. But both yours and mine is our compass. And both you and I can choose the good.

Galleri 39, Arvika

After almost four years in Örebro it was time for me to visit my home town, Arvika, where I grew up and started my journey of becoming an artist. I had a beautiful space at Galleri 39 to exhibit all my work from the last few years.
Since a lot of these pieces were made during my time at the art school, it was a mixture of experiments that completed this solo exhibition. Even though there were different styles shown, several themes repeated themselves in my work. In general my focus is mostly set on people, animals and nature in one way or another. The way they relate to each other and themselves, and behave in different situations, environments and react to change.
Our need of the natural but at the same time stubbornness to evolve in different directions. We choose to swerve on an artificial road while a flower is trying to peer for a ray of sunshine through a crack in the asphalt, where we take our morning walk and breathe in the scent of a lovely mixture of lavender and exhaust. We grow at the same time as we take away from ourselves, we create our freedom by building cages and in the long run it is quite indefinite who is actually the most vulnerable in this. There are enough situations and behaviours to question, ideas to fantasize about and imaginary worlds to create without any logical limits. Sometimes closer to Utopia than reality, sometimes the other way around.

It was a great exhibition and such a blast seeing some familiar faces popping up! Thanks for everyone visiting me in my exhibition!

Katrineholms Decembersalong

I got selected to exhibit some of my works at Katrineholms Decembersalong. It was a great day getting to meet really inspiring people and artists whom some of them now also have become good friends of mine. And another great result of this opportunity is that I sold one of my oldies! This series of little portraits has been with me for a couple of years and meant a lot to my artistry. They were pretty much a start of something new for me. Or even something real, I could say. The exhibition itself was really well put together, it is so interesting to see so many different type of styles come together in one room. I am happy I was a part of it. Here are some pictures of it!
My works selected for the Decembersalong, from the left:
Ingenmansland, Oil and acrylics on canvas
Label: Love, Oil on MDF-board
Sold! This piece is from a project about equality. Every person being their own unique self but at the same time us all being one.
It was great seeing so many people coming to the vernissage!
A bit more from the exhibition!
Exposé Örebro
- Details
- Published:
Here are some pictures from the latest exhibition I had at Exposé in Örebro! It went very smooth, the hanging went very well and the exhibition itself was a great success! I titled it "Oxymoron", focusing on the back and forth, contradictory and somewhat destructive relationship we have with nature.
It is like an irresistible desire and at the same time a necessarity to even be able to take a breath. But we ignore the trusting hand that our partner reaches out to us and take advantage of that position of power. They say that we get happier from giving rather than taking, but I have to doubt if that constantly goes both ways. We worship nature but we seem to worship ourselves just a little bit more. Not really realizing where this takes us. We want to go one direction and nature another. So we choose to swerve onto an artificial road meanwhile a flower tries to reach for the sun through the asphalt. Where we walk and get to smell a scent of a lovely mixture of lavender and exhaust. Or a bit further away where we get a peek of a fragment of plastic bottles if we lift the oil-covered blanket of waves. But if we don't lift it it doesn't exist, right? We make use of, take advantage of, and affect nature, but in the end, who is really the most vulnerable?
The last preparations being done on spot.
A sneakpeek through the window.
"Natural synthetic", the painting in the foreground was more or less the start for the concept of this exhibition!
These smaller paintings have an acrylic background with a touch of details in oil.

Check out the gallery and get a closer look on the artwork!
