What a lovely space of creativity at the pavilion of Solliden's Kursgård! There's such a strong connection between nature and art, so an absolutely wonderful place for a painting workshop, I would say!

Somehow, I had never actually been here before or even heard about the place, so I wasn't sure what to expect, and obviously the unstable weather has been another little worry of mine as well. But it couldn't have been better! It always brings me so much joy to see people paint for the first time, and how they are genuinly curious to learn. Some people on the course had actually never held a brush before, while other's were already on their way to discover their creativity and ways to express it. I'm so glad that I get to be a little part of their journey and learning experience!

Because of their different stages in painting, I went through the basics of acryclic paint. How it works, how to use it and how to think when to mix the paint. We looked into the color wheel, discussed a little bit of shapes and composition and how to think when to create a feeling in an image, and really just tried to experiment with the material in front of us. Some chose to paint the beautiful surroundings, some focused on a still life in front of them, while others painted completely from their imagination. But what they all seemed to have in common is that every single one of them completely absorbed the meditative state and joy of painting. And that is was I do this for!

Big thanks to everyone coming out to paint with me! Also thanks to Sensus for having me and Solliden for letting us bloom in such a relaxing environment!
