I got to spend an entire week at Almby Skola to hold painting classes with kids! This really is one of my favorite things, for several reasons.
Firstly, I admire how in that age their imagination is limitless. When we talk about their paintings they tell me entire stories about what they have created. And trust me, they're limitless!
Secondly, kids are so grateful and loving, they are not afraid to show it to me as a complete stranger. They directly want to hold hands, sit with me at the lunch table (or any table for that matter), be my friend at the breaks, but also not irrelevant; they put their trust in me in the creating process.
Another reason why I love teaching painting to children is to share the inspiration with each other, they inspire me just as much as I seem to inspire them. Their energy and motivation will surely keep me going for some time ahead!

In Sweden exists a very appreciated concept called Skapande Skola. This is a government grant that contributes to students of all ages being able to take part in cultural and artistic expressions at school. This is something we should make use of, as less and less art and culture are taught in schools nowadays. Let's remind the kids that creative professions too are possible!
