After my open studio at Sundsby Säteri I was invited to participate at their annual Christmas Market! I couldn’t turn this opportunity of coming back down. This was actually the first time I participated with my art at a Christmas market, or any market at all for that matter, so it was a good experience to try something different!
Also, who doesn’t love a good Xmas market! I think it connects people in such a warming way in these dark and cold times.
I’ve been really excited to approach my art slightly different and adjust my products specifically for this. For years I’ve been considering to make Christmas cards and calendars, but making an investment in something new is always a bit of a scary gamble when you're new to it. But this was a little kick in the bum to make it happen! And here we are! Selling them from a packed little art stand!
I also produced a series of small winter paintings and even smaller animal eye paintings, and little hand painted as well as printed magnets. And as expected, these two days were filled with happy people and happy meetings!
